How to Find the La Ceiba & Roatan Ferry Terminals

Getting to Roatan is less expensive by ferry than airline, and you can also arrive at your destination more quickly, especially if there are flight delays. To travel between Roatan and La Ceiba on our 460 passenger catamaran ferry, the Galaxy Wave, please note the location of both terminals below.

La Ceiba Ferry Terminal

The La Ceiba ferry terminal is located at the main port of La Ceiba, also known as the Muelle de Cabotaje port. The terminal is located 15 minutes from downtown La Ceiba and about 10-20 minutes by taxi from the Hedman Alas bus station, depending on traffic.

Please note that there are two different side-by-side ferry terminals at this location. Be sure to board the right ferry:

1. Getting to Roatan - our terminal offers service to Roatan aboard the Galaxy Wave.
2. Getting to Utila - the Utila terminal offers service to Utila aboard the smaller Utila Princess.

Roatan Ferry Terminal

To travel to La Ceiba, visit our easily accessible Roatan Ferry terminal, located in the center of the island. Previously situated in Coxen Hole, this terminal is now located on the main road in Dixon Cove, about 5 minutes from Roatan's new Mahogany Bay cruise ship dock.
